Giorgio Armani Spring Summer 2011 Collection Inspired by the Tuareg people of Saharan North Africa

"La Femme Bleue" was the name of Giorgio Armani's spring collection, which saw a close to Milan's Fashion week in style. Armani is known for his elegant styles, restraint in his creations and the discipline he uses with his fashion, and the designer did not disappoint.

This year's collection was inspired by the Tuareg people of Saharan North Africa, whose traditional blue indigo robes are extremely distinct and share with us a culture rich and ancient. One colour was prominent in this collection, blue, and this was explored, dissected and then explored some more by Armani.
